With short distances to beautiful hiking trails in Nesfjellet, Ranten is a natural stop before or after your hike or simply a place to settle in for the night.
We welcome walk-ins, spontaneous visits, and simple, stress-free stays.
We reopen for the Whitsun weekend, from Friday 22 May.

Mountain Hotel in Boutique Style
High in the mountains at Myking, above Nesbyen and Nesfjellet, you’ll find Ranten Hotel. A unique and charming hotel that offers the ultimate mountain getaway experience. Clean Scandinavian design and vintage furniture create a warm, cozy, and inviting atmosphere.
The hotel’s concept is based on creating a peaceful and balanced experience, with beautiful nature and excellent food at its core. It is the perfect place to celebrate special occasions, enjoy a romantic getaway, or host team-building events with colleagues.
Our Facilities
The hotel features inviting common areas with a fireplace, a bar in the loft, and 34 comfortable rooms with stunning views of the mountains. In the restaurant and Storstua, guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch, or a tasty three-course dinner.
Ranten also offers a newly renovated meeting room with space for up to 35 people.

In the restaurant, also known as Storstua, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast and tasty dinners, all made with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
The restaurant has the following opening hours:
Lunch from 11:00 to 14:00.
Dinner from 18:00 to 20:00. Dinner must be booked in advance.
For conference guests, we offer tailored packages including meeting room rental, lunch, dinner, and coffee breaks.
