About Ranten Hotel

The boutique hotel Ranten Hotell is located at Myking near Nesbyen, 1000 meters above sea level, in beautiful natural surroundings.

A visit to this gem of a mountain hotel is like a journey back in time to the period between 1950 and 1970, when the mountain hotels in Norway were at their peak.

Ranten Hotell was built in 1968 and designed by architect Robert Jensen. The hotel features 34 elegant hotel rooms and meeting facilities for up to 35 people. In the Storstua, which is the heart of the hotel, up to 70 guests can be served for both everyday occasions and celebrations.

Ranten has been renovated in a modern Scandinavian design, with touches of retro furniture and interior.

The hotel today appears warm, cozy, and comfortable. HYGGE is the word that best describes Ranten Hotell – you check in, your shoulders relax, your heart beats a little slower, and you unwind and enjoy.

The Myking area is a mountain farm and cozy village that has welcomed visitors from both near and far since 1880. The nature is majestic, and the hiking opportunities are endless. In the summer, you can explore on foot, walking through terrain suitable for most people, or bike to several of the nearby mountain peaks to enjoy spectacular views of both the east and west of the kingdom. During the beautiful white season, the ski tracks stretch like “tram lines” from Ranten into the surrounding terrain.
